Maura was off to Paris last week so I handed her some money and asked her to surprise me with a souvenir. And I couldn’t have asked for a better return item. Blaise Mautin is a french parfumeur who’s reknowned scents have glazed the aura of the Park Hyatt Vendome in Paris. The spray is a perfect marriage of Paris’ romantic allure and Hiroki‘s immaculate branding, but that’s aside from the luxurious woodland spice emanating from the essential oils which contain this Erlenmeyer flask.

Kelley – Visvim striped Emiltcotoni Tee / Supreme Camo BDU’s

A couple of buddies and I drove down to Vermont this passed weekend for some late season camping, hiking, trekking and good ole’ brew drinking. While campfire burgers and sleeping in below freezing temperature were wickedly gratifying, the real highlight was hiking up the 4,395 feet peak that was Mt. Mansfield. Recorded as the highest summit of the Green Mountains of New England, it was definitely not as swift of a trail as we might have expected. With each step our legs grew weaker and the hill got more steep. By the time we’d nearly reach the top, it became much more of a mental challenge rather than physical; not only was it colder but it was much more dangerous. It took a short pep talk to rally the troop up the rest of the cliff, but we prevailed and boy was the view and sense of achievement worth every muscle contraction. It is at that very moment that I truely grasped the definition of sublimity, seeing the ice and snow covered neighboring summits and the endless horizon forming the spherical crust of the earth really surpassed the conception of what beauty means.

I know that by now, it may have seemed that I was neglecting the third part of my New York journey when I briefly mentioned it in my first 2 NY posts. Truth is, I was keeping the best for last. Phil and I go way back beyond the AwardTour days, so it was an honor and delight to finally get to work on something together. Evidently, we had a very productive team who made the whole thing possible. From the top of my head: Phil, Fost, Maura, Billy, Kelly, Hawaii Mike, Luke & the rest of the amazing crew!
