Run Specs

I’ve been hard at work, building a little running program in Montreal for out of shape nerds like myself who are as much into the gear than the sport of running itself… We run twice a week, as a collective. Check out the project and let me know your thoughts…

DELUXE for Inventory

With the release of the fourth issue of Inventory Magazine just around the corner, here are some outtakes from the shoot I did at the DLXE/BEDWIN offices. Hue and Jey were some of the nicest people I met on my trip. Big thanks to the Inventory crew for making it happen.

Did you pre-order your issue yet??

Lunarglide+ 2

Training and running season debuted for most, but I’m starting mine this week to get in shape for summer soccer season. After an extensive consultation with Claire at Nike, she suggested to me and my fragile ankles, a pair of Lunarglide+ 2′s. Sure enough, they arrived at the office a couple of days later. Equipped with flywire, amazing ankle support and most importantly the comfortable dynamic support Lunarlon soles, these are sure to do some damage in the next couple of weeks heading into high-gear for futball season. Thanks Claire and NSW for always taking care of me.

21mercer – NSW – MTroy

Was down in NY to shoot for the MTexperience. Can’t reveal the happenings just yet, but here are some candids from the weekend. Big thanks to Marcus, Charles, IZ & Sarah Kim for a fun 2 days.

Nike SFB Chukka QS

The Special Force Boot (SFB) Chukka from NSW takes some inspiration from the US Army Jungle boots of the 1970′s. While the nylon and suede exterior resemble the influencors, Nike have replaced the RO-SEARCH sole from the 70′s with their own NIKE FREE soles giving it that sportswear factor. I wanna thank Claire from NSW for getting these out to me as they will come quite useful when braving the harsh canadian weather.

They should be available at your local Quickstrike Accounts in a Dark Obsidian or Tan colorway.

White Mountaineering

I’m currently working on a few projects out in Tokyo for several media outlets. One of them includes Japanese label White Mountaineering. I had the rare opportunity to meet and take photos of head designer Aizawa and his Spring/Summer 2011 collection. While the actual photos from the shoot are to be released elsewhere in due time, here are some random flicks from the day with Thomas (International Sales) and Suzuki the Shop manager who made sure I didn’t leave empty handed…

Japan Retail | F.I.L. Kyoto

Without neglecting the history of the space, FIL’s newly opened Kyoto store still shows respect to the shops previous occupants by showcasing some of the traditional Kawaramachi-dori dolls.

I WISH THEY MADE THIS FOR GIRLS Vol. 7 | Jade

“The amount of times I’ve actually heard a girl say “I WISH THEY MADE THIS FOR GIRLS” when looking at boys’ clothes goes beyond memory. From that quote, I’ve begun a little Photo Series project with some of the most gorgeous women in my life. Done right, the series should have that inexplicable umph most guys feel when waking up and seeing a girl in his t-shirt and boxers. Dressed in my clothes, they will, one by one be featured on the blog.”
