Streetwear Today

I got my redwing boots in this week, when i got them, I had a flash…So I dug out some magazines from like 2 years ago and finally found what I was looking for…Streetwear Today has got to be one of the sickest magazines, in 2006, they were doing interviews with Red Wing, doing features with Dr Romanelli, Interviews with Ben Drury…I’ll be honest with you, back in the day, I had no idea what the fuck all this was (I was still wearing Nike SB’s)…In fact, as I’m flippin through the pages I see a feature on Visvim and Firmament…now im looking back at it and I’m amazed. I think the first time I saw anything about Visvim in Complex was like 6 months ago, It was a pair of yellow Hockney’s, hahaha. As I got into all this magazine craze, I dug up a few of my Theme magazines, which is still my favorite press ’til this day, and found a Visvim AD…not a feature or an article..AN AD!!! Where am i going with this ? I have no idea, but think about what I just said…

Paul Labonté and/or Paul107

Paul has been, for a while, one of the people who’s always looked after me and who has really helped me elevate my knowledge base to what I believe to be of somewhat decent…haha. So when he sent me a message about him being a contributor on INQMND, I was naturally very stoked for him…inquiring mind has always been, in my opinion, the most onpoint online magazine to come out of Canada. Grats Paul!!!

The Debut

I step outside and it’s raining. Suede + Rain = fucking fuck fuck. I’ve always wanted to take night shots but everytime I think about taking night shots, I don’t have my cam with me. Well here is my first attempts at taking a night shot while I was waiting for the STM (Smartman’s transportation method) i.e. the bus. I get to my destination and it’s History in the making: Harry is killin it softly on the turntables, umm sorry i meant on his laptop, as I witnessed a fully PACKED Salon Officiel. Let me summarize his set in it’s respective order: Miguel Graca to Bebel Gilberto to LTJ Bukem…manoeuvered into Blaze then to Roots Manuva to Depeche Mode to The Cure and slowly evolved to Everything but a Girl TO some crazy Club anthems…Took a break, and CAME BACK with tha deep south, from Crime Mob to Paul Wall and went into Nas and Jay-z then killed it with the BEEEEGEEES. Night was good, people were down as fuck and Harry was on Fire…

Sketchbook Session Vol. 1

So, I’m obviously not the type to listen in class when i have a whole sketchbook with white pages waiting for me to pop the cherries…In fact, it’s like I have this need to draw when I’m in class…Ever since I could remember, I would draw in class. Maybe because it used to be the only way for me to make the time go pass and enjoy myself at the same time. Here are some recent doodles…img_2856img_2857img_2859

Chinatown Soccer Club

While I was in New York this passed summer, coach Stochl was kind enough to invite me to one of their pick up games right in the heart of Chinatown where there is an amazing 6 on 6 type field…When I got there it was simply amazing, one-touch, exactly how Angelo loves it.
